Community Response Team
A collaborative effort between the Atlantic City Police Department and the community, this program is designed to increase public safety. The team seeks to prevent crisis situations such as domestic and gang violence, substance abuse, child abuse, and muggings.

Mission Health Care
Mission Health Care is a Primary and Preventive Care and Drug Treatment health center that provides free and reduced fee health care to the homeless of Atlantic County, New Jersey. Mission Health Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) funded by the Bureau of Primary Health Care and the Health Resource Service Administration. Located at 2009 Bacharach Blvd. in Atlantic City, Mission Health Care is a division of AtlantiCare Health Services.

Healthy Cities
Healthy Cities basketballThe AtlantiCare Foundation sponsors the Healthy Cities initiative, designed after the health status improvement model adopted by the World Health Organization. It was launched locally in 1993, with the development of the AtlantiCare Health System. The Healthy Cities movement brings together all the stakeholder groups in the community to dialogue on their concerns related to quality of life issues. This ongoing process has resulted in a number of community collaborations which have positively impacted many neighborhoods.

HealthMobile
HeartcheckHeartcheck is a mobile cardiac screening service brought to you by the Heart Institute at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. Heartcheck is a convenient, affordable way for you to take advantage of a thorough cardiac, lung or circulation screening. Each assesment takes less than 20 minutes.

Mobile Mammography
The RNS Mobile Mammography Van makes cancer detection equipment easily accessible to women in Atlantic, Cape May and southern Ocean County. This custom-designed van, one of only two such units in New Jersey, features the latest low-dose mammography equipment, and is accredited by the American College of Radiology and the FDA.

Parents as Teachers
Parents as teachersThe Parents As Teachers program provides a home educator to assist parents of young children prepare their children for academic and social success. Services also include safety, nutritional and other health-related educational programs and help in securing needed medical care and social services.

A collaboration of corporate, government, civic and academic representatives convene to ameliorate the top health concerns in a two-county region, as documented by a comprehensive assessment of the residents.

Safe Haven Family Center
Located in Pleasantville and Atlantic City’s Weed & Seed neighborhoods; Safe Havens are community facilities which offer after school and summer programs for children to provide alternatives to drug use, gangs, and other harmful activities.

Turn Around Atlantic County
"Turn Around Atlantic County" is a program designed to deter illegal drug transactions. Volunteers march and gather outside drug houses and chant anti-drug slogans on bullhorns. Part of the Turn Around America program founded by Herman Wrice, the local marches are sponsored by AtlantiCare Health System, local law enforcement and civic activists.

Weed and Seed
Weed and Seed activityThe mission of Weed and Seed is to prevent, control, and reduce violent crime, drug abuse, and gang activity in targeted high-crime neighborhoods across the country. Weed and Seed is funded in part by the US Department of Justice, Executive Office for Weed and Seed.
